10 Fashion Statement Jesus has invited us to the wedding feast and even provided the required wedding garment. But there are some who would rather try things their own way. Why was Jesus so rough on the guy who wore his own clothes? What was THAT about?
17 Inside Out Jesus said that it wasn’t what went into the mouth that made you unclean, but rather what came out of the mouth. What is THAT about? He also said, “Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” What you have on the inside will most certainly come out when you get put under pressure. Your thought life will become your external life, so it is important to allow God to cleanse you from the inside out.
24 You Can’t Have it Both Ways- So this manager gets busted and his master tells him to give an accounting of the books. The manager realizes that he’s history and realizes that he is not suited to manual labor and yet he’s too proud to beg. He quickly calls in those people who owed his master money and had them cut their bills in half, hoping to gain a friend somewhere. Here’s the wild part—Jesus commended him for his shrewdness. What was THAT about?
31 Outdoor Sabbath at the Pocket Wilderness Picnic Shelter Come enjoy fellowship with church members and teaching staff just prior to a new school year getting underway at our annual end of summer Outdoor Sabbath. This year we will be at the Pocket Wilderness Picnic shelter. Sabbath School will start at 10:30 am. For those interested, the church campout will be at the Pocket Campground just across the bridge. Cost is $10 per night. You are responsible for getting your own campsite. The ranger district does not take reservations, so campsites are on a first come-first serve basis. For more information contact the church office at 706 625-8582 or email: dokeele@gcasda.org (for directions see http://www.us-parks.com/camping/ga/pocket-picnic-shelter-campground.html)
