LEVEL Up

Level Nine: the Solitude challenge

  1. Go on a walk alone in nature, not just to be alone, but to be with God. Leave behind music, podcasts, and other distractions. As you walk, talk to God about what’s on your heart, or simply be still and observe His creation. If your mind wanders, gently bring your focus back to His presence.

  2. Before your devotions, spend 10 minutes in silence with God. If that feels too long, start with 5. Acknowledge any inner restlessness, anxieties, or distractions, but don’t fight them—let them pass by. Turn your thoughts toward who God is and what He says about you. Simply listen and be present with Him.

  3. If you have a commute, turn off music and podcasts for part of your drive and invite God into the silence. Instead of filling the space with noise, reflect on what He might be speaking to you. Let the quiet become a space for clarity, prayer, and connection with Him.
